BC Children's Hospital (BCCH) cares for children with the most serious injuries, illnesses, and congenital differences living in British Columbia and the Yukon. BCCH also provides developmental and rehabilitation services to children and youth throughout BC and operates a wide number of specialized health programs through multidisciplinary health services provider groups. As the main pediatric clinical training site for the Faculty of Medicine at the University of British Columbia (UBC), BCCH is the leading acute care pediatric teaching facility in the province and conducts research to advance health and knowledge through the BC Children's Hospital Research Institute and through collaborations with other institutions.

BC Children's Hospital is seeking a fellowship trained pediatric plastic surgeon interested in a clinical academic career starting January 2023. Applicants must have passed or be eligible for the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada examinations in plastic surgery. As well, applicants must be eligible for full licensure with the BC College of Physicians and Surgeons by January 2023.

The successful candidate will fill a 1.0 FTE position at British Columbia Children's Hospital, serving an active clinical, teaching, research, and administrative role on a collegial team with 4 other pediatric plastic surgeons. The ideal candidate will have training that allows full engagement in a general pediatric plastic surgery practice, including strengths in pediatric hand, brachial plexus, cleft, ear, microsurgery, burns, soft tissue expansion/reconstruction, and trauma.

The successful applicant will be recommended for and expected to fulfil the academic responsibilities of a Clinical Faculty Appointment in the UBC Division of Plastic Surgery, at a rank commensurate with qualifications and experience.
