Reporting to the Director of Employee Experience, this position will be responsible for overseeing our Payroll and Benefits for both of our manufacturing facilities in Canada as well as our US payroll through a third-party provider.  This individual will play a key role in ensuring that we are meeting the needs of our organization now and into the future.

The key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Overall responsibility for centralized payroll and benefit functions for our Delta and London facilities as well as our U.S team
  • Ensure compliance with all federal and provincial statutes regarding EE payroll functions
  • Creating a service experience that is customer focused
  • Manage and monitor all compliance related EE policies and procedures with a focus on our ERP, payroll, and benefits administration
  • Liaise between benefit carrier, broker & employees
  • Seek to improve our business processes, practices and policies (Benchmark our policies and practices against industry and make recommended changes for improvement) to implement best practices for our continued expansion and growth.

 

The skills, education and experience required include:

  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience with full cycle payroll & benefits administration
  • Progressive experience with full payroll responsibilities including managing direct reports.
  • Experience working within a Unionized payroll environment preferred.
  • Managing a multi-site payroll with knowledge of BC and Ontario legislation is desired
  • CPM – Certified Payroll Manager Certification or working towards certification preferred.
