The Payroll & Benefits Administrator opportunity…

  • Processing of both U.S and Canadian payrolls; including new hires, terminations, salary changes and the calculation of all necessary earnings, retroactive adjustments, garnishments and deductions
  • Supporting the HR function of No Limits Sportswear, Saxx Underwear and A52 Warehouse by tracking and recording all absences, vacation and leave periods through our HRIS/Payroll system PaySaavy
  • Time and attendance administration for hourly staff ; preparation of schedules for departments, addition of new hires, clean transferal of daily pay, working alongside managers to ensure all hours have been approved a day prior to payroll, adjusting for shift differentials etc.
  • Preparation of T4’s/ ROE’s as required and other various payroll related reports for managers after each run
  • Preparation and remittance of biweekly superannuation (RRSP) contributions and quarterly employee statements e.g. WCB, WSIB
  • Administering company health and welfare plans with Equitable Life, our insurance provider, dealing with the eligibility, enrollment and termination of staff on all plans
  • Filing and maintenance of all HR files, spreadsheets and databases
  • Working alongside the HR Director to contribute to the development of an employee-oriented company culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, and high performance

  • You love the details and challenge yourself to be consistently accurate
  • You have excellent communication skills both oral and written
  • Minimum 3 years of applicable payroll & benefits experience
  • Postsecondary education with a business or HR focus
  • You possess a thorough understanding of the importance of confidentiality and non-disclosure
  • You have the ability to stay focused and calm under pressure
  • Strong computer skills; be a ‘power-user’ with MS Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Good problem solving and analytical skills
  • You must have the ability to exercise a high degree of diplomacy and tact and have excellent customer service skills
  • You must be a self-starter and able to accomplish expected tasks in an accurate and timely fashion
  • Multi-province and US payroll experience an asset
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Canadian payroll regulations required and US knowledge considered strong asset Significant asset if you have the following…
