We are currently looking for a Payroll and Benefits Administrator / Account Payable to join our Finance team. This position is in our Burnaby office.

This is a blended role, ideal for someone who enjoys juggling multiple priorities, and thrives in a complex and busy environment. Reporting directly to the VP of Finance you’ll be part of the Finance team while also working in partnership with human resources. One of the first projects this person will have to tackle is to help us find the right human resources management system that integrates with payroll. What You’ll Do

Payroll & Benefits (50%)

  • You will perform full payroll cycle for 130 employees, mostly salaried, across 7 offices on a bi-weekly basis, prepare the journal entries and reconcile all accounts
  • You will be responsible for reporting taxable benefits
  • You will maintain the employee profile (updates, new hires, terminations) into our payroll software and benefits platforms
  • You v reconciliation and payments for credit card accounts
  • You will generate payment proposal for approval according to AP payment calendar

Account Payroll (50%)

  • You will process account payable transactions into the accounting software
  • You will assist the team in recording invoices
  • You will oversee the reconciliation and payments for credit card accounts
  • You will generate payment proposal for approval according to AP payment calendar

Who You Are

  • You have at least 2+ years of payroll and benefits experience
  • You have at least 1 year of account payable experience
  • If you have your PCP certification it will be considered an asset
  • You are able to maintain professionalism while working with confidential information
  • You have strong time management skills, particularly the ability to prioritize tasks
  • You are a self-starter, highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • You know ADP Pay@work and are not afraid to upgrade to a better version or to a different provider
  • You have a natural ability to thrive in a team environment and work well with others
