Experienced Payroll Administrator required in Chemainus for a corporate environment.

• Preference will be given to those with union payroll experience.
• Ability to respond to inquiries regarding payroll, deductions and benefits, as well as reporting support.
• Excellent interpersonal skills required while working with coworkers and outside agencies to ensure all goals are met on time.
• Confidentiality is of the utmost importance in this position.

Process Payroll

 Prepare and enter journal entries.
 Reconcile payroll sub-ledgers to the general ledger
 Remitting payroll taxes, government reporting, benefit reporting and union reporting
 Ensure compliance with current government regulations
 Ensure compliance in accordance with Union Agreements
 Prepare and submit electronic ROE’s.
 Onboarding new staff
 Maintaining employee records

Skills
 Experience with Daybreak and/or Adaigo.
 Strong organizational skills.
 Strong attention to detail and accuracy critical.
 Ability to meet pre-established deadlines.
 Ability to manage multi-functional tasks.
 Ability to prioritize responsibilities while meeting deadlines.
 Ability to interact with all levels of the company.
 Preference will be given to those with an accreditation from the Canadian Payroll Association as a Payroll Compliance Practitioner

Salary will be commensurate with experience.
