Payroll Administrator contract working for a company known for it’s dynamic culture and high performing, fun-loving workforce. Complex, global, and high-growth company with multiple entities. Processing 200+ employee payroll in Canada and US, salary and hourly, non-unionized, semi-monthly.

What- the Role: 

Our client is looking for a new Payroll Administrator who will be responsible for processing payroll for their Canada and USA employees. This is a contract to start, to fill the immediate need while the company opens up the selection process for the permanent role. Yes, the contractor can be considered for the permanent position! If the hired contractor has the required skills, the role can also involve financial reporting support and various accounting tasks- but only payroll processing experience is required at this time. 

Who- the Candidate: 

We are seeking a payroll professional with at least 3 years’ relevant experience, including 1 year of experience processing payroll for at least 100 employees and ideally 200+ employees. 
  • Degree in accounting, finance, business administration or equivalent training and experience. 
  • Certified Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) is an asset. 
  • Experience processing payroll for 100+ employees. Canadian OR US Payroll is required, and having experience with both Canadian AND US Payroll is highly preferred. 
  • Excellent team player. 
  • Great communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Proficient in Excel, with experience using various payroll systems and ERPs.

Where: 

Working from home during physical distancing. Longer-term the Payroll Administrator will work from the headquarters in Burnaby.
