A emergency service company is seeking a Payroll Accountant to join their busy, ever growing team in Burnaby, British Columbia. This is a temp to perm placement, starting on contract for 3 months.
Your new role
In your new position as Payroll Accountant, you will be responsible for providing technical guidance and reviews for payroll staff, prepare month end payroll and benefits reconciliations and journal entries, ensure accuracy of employee entitlements, ensure that balance sheet and income statement for payroll and related accounts are reconciled on a timely basis, and perform periodic audits. You will also assist in implementing changes to payroll structures and process. You prepare monthly and quarterly payroll financial statements, and assist is year end reporting.
What you'll need to succeed
You must have Permanent Residency or be a Canadian Citizen. You must have lived in the Country for 5 years as this is a government related position. You hold a CPA designation and have 3+ years experience in Payroll.
