Build on your career experience by:
•Providing clinical supervision, guidance and support to nursing staff, clinical team members and support staff •Facilitating day-to-day operations of the assigned unit including daily patient flow •Working collaboratively and in partnership with the interprofessional care team •Participating in research, policy, quality improvement and risk management activities •Supporting program and/or regional activities •Providing clinical support, guidance and evaluating the effectiveness of learning objectives
Your background includes:
•Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse and/or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) •Recent 3 years related clinical experience in the designated clinical area, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
This role is a relief full-time position located at Royal Columbian Hospital (RCH) in New Westminster, BC. RCH is a provincial referral hospital (tertiary/trauma care centre) with 422 acute beds that is a University of BC Affiliated teaching hospital. RCH is located ½ hour from downtown Vancouver, and close to rapid transit, shopping, restaurants and other amenities.
Royal Columbian Hospital is currently undergoing a massive revitalization to meet the future regional and provincial health care needs of British Columbians. RCH is home to our new Mental Health and Substance Use Wellness Centre with 75 beds, a Psychiatric High Acuity Unit, 12 outpatient clinics and Fraser Health's first Older Adult Psychiatric Unit.
