About the Opportunity

Johnston Equipment are now seeking a full-time Parts Person to join their Western Canada branch in Vancouver.

As the new Parts Person, you will be responsible for coordinating the distribution of parts and rentals. This will include duties such as taking and making phone calls, looking up vendor information, sourcing, buying, follow up and order fulfillment administration. You'll also be required to keep an eye on inventory for accuracy and adequate stock, maximizing sales and order time.

About You

Johnston Equipment is on the lookout for a tech savvy individual with parts or inventory experience. Mechanical parts knowledge of sweepers, scrubbers and forklifts will come in handy as you source and secure parts. Computer literacy in the JDE system and MS Office would also be an asset as you'll be navigating a variety of vendor ordering systems to achieve your goals.

Using your engaging communication skills, you'll be able to easily and effectively liaise with customers, both face to face and over the phone. Time management, analytical and problem-solving skills will also be essential to this role, as will the ability to demonstrate an appropriate sense of urgency when required. Importantly, the successful candidate will have a keen attention to detail in order to complete the administrative portion of this position.

To qualify for this role, it is essential that you have a high school diploma and a minimum of 2 years of experience within the service industry. A relevant certificate/designation will be considered an asset.
