Part-time Project Manager – 30 – 40 hours a month

This role is a part-time opportunity for a Project Manager who is looking to be part of an initiative really impacting BC and its residents. You will be providing support for the incorporation process, budgeting, proposal preparation, and accountability reports to stakeholders.  This is done with a focus on improving collaboration and quality improvement with key agencies, consistent with the goals of the Engagement Initiative. The successful candidate would ideally come from a healthcare background with a proven record in stakeholder engagement with a diplomatic demeanor. You are available Mondays from 4:30pm – 6:30pm to engaging and attend leadership and stakeholder meetings. The location for this role is between two sites one in Surrey and the other in White Rock
Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Supports the development and implementation of structures, processes and programs that support and help to prepare the organization meet their funding criteria
  • Assists with the preparation and implementation of governance and operational structures
  • Provides direct support to the organization in developing effective engagement processes and lines of communication amongst staff
  • Coordinates and schedule meetings of the organization, and meetings between the organization and external stakeholders
  • Tracking and preparation of reports on the major areas of activity and project progress
  • Maintenance of records for financial reporting analysis, as required
  • Facilitates the administration of contracts and agreements with local structures and other resources as required
  • Attendance at organization meetings, meetings with representatives, and Staff events;
  • Communications with and amongst members, directors and others, as required to follow up on action items and develop strategies to address issues;
  • Liaises with the organization Leads on matters related to the operations, projects and programs
  • Administrative and corporate governance support for meetings, including preparation of meeting packages, agendas, briefing and discussion documents, minute taking for meetings and arranging for meeting logistics (food order/room bookings);
  • Coordinating submitted projects/initiatives; analyzing data; researching and advising on complex issues;
  • Scheduling meetings, preparing agenda materials, taking and transcribing minutes
  • Providing overall coordination and support to programs and projects

Skills & Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in disciplines such as health administration, health policy, community development
  • At least 5-7 years’ experience or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
  • Strong knowledge of health regions and acute based services
  • Sound analytical, problem solving, and project coordination skills
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with experience leading complex change
  • A solid track record in stakeholder engagement
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders and groups
  • Experience with quality improvement and evaluation
  • Diplomatic problem solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Exceptional organizational, delegation, presentation, communication, facilitation, and relationship building skills
  • Project and budget management experience required
  • Ability to handle multiple projects, meet tight deadlines and work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Excellent computer skills required (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
  • Must be willing and able to travel, valid driver’s license required, and access to a car preferred. Evening meetings and/or overnight stays will likely be required
