Excel Personnel's Northern Operations is always excited to work within rural communities and we have been retained by our local client to recruit their new dynamic and personable Temporary Part Time Office Assistant to support the office manager in Quesnel, BC.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Reserving travel and accommodation for management and staff.
  • Letter preparation for customer quotations and other correspondence (Word).
  • Weekly timesheet review from superintendents, summarizing in Excel, and forwarding to payroll manager.
  • Invoicing and project job costing with Excel.
  • Tracking customer invoices.
  • Assigning G/L codes to supplier invoices.
  • Issuing supplier PO’s.
  • Ordering Office Supplies.
  • Daily support for remote site supervisors and managers.
  • Possible occasional travel to work sites to provide direct project support.

Requirements:

  • Can multitask in a busy office.
  • Excellent customer service skills and attention to details.
  • Works well with others.
  • Strong skills using MS Office on a network environment.
  • Ability to find and correct basic errors in a spreadsheet.
  • Previous accounting experience, comfortable with A/P, invoicing.
  • Have the right attitude to follow through and complete the task.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both spoken and written.
