An international law firm, located in the Heart of Downtown Vancouver, is currently looking to add an experienced Commercial Real Estate Paralegal to their top-notch team! This is a brilliant opportunity for those looking to propel their career forward and find a long-term home where they are properly supported, each step of the way. You will play an integral part of this highly regarded team, as you take on some of the region's most interesting work.

Salary is commensurate with experience

Role + Responsibilities

• Review commercial purchase and sale agreements     
• Prepare transaction checklists and organize closing documents     
• Obtain and review due diligence (including online searches) and completing summaries
• Prepare documents with respect to acquisitions and sales of various types of commercial properties, financing and development land matters
• Receive and review commercial loan and security documents
• Prepare closing letters and various correspondences
• Obtain and finalize title insurance policies     
• Register title documents and security in land title offices and other government registries
• Other duties as requested

Education + Qualifications

• Paralegal Certification
• 3-5+ years of experience as a Real Estate Paralegal
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong understanding of BC Land Title Office registration requirements and e-filing
• Good working knowledge of real estate terminology, contracts and fo rms
• Good working skills with all applicable online databases including BC Online, LTSA, municipal tax searches
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate with all levels of an organization
• A self-starter who is comfortable with taking responsibility and enjoys working as part of a team
