Our client is a boutique law firm located in Vancouver who is looking for a Personal Injury Paralegal to join their tight knit team. You will be working closely with a professional team. Our client prides itself on have a fun but challenging work environment that requires someone who is enthusiastic and result-oriented.  


The Role

The successful candidate should have previous experience working as a Paralegal specializing in Personal Injury, Civil Litigation, or Family Law. You must have exceptional attention to detail to succeed in this position. Due to the sensitivity of the information you will be recording, you must be discreet and sensitive to the clients. It is important you have knowledge of PC Law.

You are an experienced Paralegal or you are looking to utilize your law degree. You have exceptional analytical, communication and customer service skills and have the ability to see and understand the big picture. The ideal candidate must be reliable and have the ability to work independently and within a team. A strong work ethic and initiative will go far in this environment.


Where is it based?

Vancouver (very easily transit accessible)



  • Conduct client intake meetings and initialize file openings
  • Handling all pleadings and document management (requesting, reviewing, summarizing and following up)
  • Researching case law
  • Assisting counsel in preparing for examinations for discovery and Trials, including obtaining relevant information/documentation
  • Coordinating with support staff and resources as instructed
  • Vetting clinical records
  • Conducting legal research
  • Conduct BC Online searches
  • Review Defence requests
  • Assisting with Chambers and trial preparation
  • Set up Case Planning Conferences and prepare the necessary materials for same
  • Analyze economic losses and request economist reports
  • Prepare Replies to Demands for Particulars
  • Manage client concerns and questions throughout the legal process


Must Haves

  • Certificate or diploma from a recognized Paralegal program or work experience and currently working towards certification
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Previous experience as a paralegal working in personal injury, civil litigation or family law
  • Excellent ability to multi-task, prioritize, organize and be detail-oriented
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with a high degree of discretion and tact
  • Exceptional attention to detail is a must
  • Good knowledge of PC Law, MS Word, Excel and Outlook
