Order Picker (cold environment) - forklift training provided (2 needed)

Express Employment Professionals (Cloverdale/Langley) office on behalf of our client in the Campbell Heights area of South Surrey, a long time local meat distributor which has been bought out by a larger corperation while maintaining the local owner: seeking a 1 or 2 Order pickers (Forklift certified would be considered an asset but not required, training can be provided also) to join their team and work in their new facility. This a refrigerated environment - including a one room freezer, and requires attention detail. Successful candidate will have a permanent position with benefits and lots of room to grow (delivery, cutting, office)

The job duties:

• Picking customer orders with accuracy
• Helping loading their delivery trucks when required
• Receiving and putting away incoming stock
• Be prepared to go in the freezer and the cold dock as well for picking orders
• Some heavy lifting required, maximum weight of any box would be 50lbs but is not constant.
• While most items are pre-boxed, they do some cutting and production there: candidate must be OK working around all different kinds of meat.

Requirements: 

1. Warehouse experience: at least 1 year of shipping receiving or order picking
2. Steel toed boots and proper clothing for the cold required (they do have some essential items)

This position is Monday – Friday, 8am- 4:30pm (shift can be flexible on hours) but you are required to be there every day. 

Wage is $19-20/hour + 4%VP (based on exp). This opportunity is for long term employment - benefits/raise/retirement upon hire (probation is 540 hours)
