Operations Superintendent

Salary: $105,000-$120,000

Location: Prince George

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Operations Superintendent will run the day to day operations of the plant, overseeing the plants production and quality control departments. You will report directing to the plant manager.

  • Ensure plant operations are running at optimal levels, ensuring production goals are met
  • Manage and schedule manpower and equipment
  • Conduct annual performance reviews
  • Capital planning and budgeting 

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2+ years experience in production at Manager or Supervisor level
  • Experience in manufacturing or processing facility (Wood Products, Mining, Oil & Gas, Chemical…)
  • Supervising multi-department organisations
  • Previous experience working in maintenance department a distinct advantage – Millwright, electricians   
  • Strong leadership qualities – ability to coach and mentor
  • Experience with change management

 

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

  • 3 weeks of vacation
  • MSP paid, Dental, Extended medical, Paramedics, Pension, Premiums 100% paid by company
  • RRSP employee pays 5% and company pays 7% toward group
  • Tuition Reimbursement
  • 50% reimbursement for safety boots
