Our client, a restoration services company, is a leader in their field. They’re seeking an Office/Administrative Manager to take ownership of the day to day operations of the company, help put policies and procedures in place, and bring the organization to the next level.

 

The Role:

The Office Manager will manage all back end operations as well as generally ensuring the company operates smoothly and efficiently. The Office Manager works very closely with the Owner, assisting in developing and enforcing budgets, delegating tasks and tracking progress on projects, and planning and organizing a calendar of events, which may include training sessions, interviews, new hire orientations, and policy or procedure updates. The Office Manager will also be the point of contact for all suppliers and customer inquiries.

Where is it based?

Responsibilities:

  • Managing the day-to-day operations of the administrative department
  • Working closely with the owner of the company in reviewing, identifying, improving and implementing new and improved administrative systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensuring all staff are following set Policy and Procedures
  • Working with accounting and management team to set budgets, monitor spending, and processing payroll and other expenses.
  • Ensuring office is stocked with necessary supplies and all equipment is working and properly maintained.
  • Recruiting, hiring new staff
  • Planning, scheduling, and promoting office events, including meetings, conferences, interviews, orientations, and training sessions
  • Collecting, organizing, and storing information using computers and filing systems.
  • Overseeing special projects and tracking progress towards company goals
  • Working closely with the Owner, in determining annual budget for capital expenditures including office furniture and office equipment
  • Providing exceptional customer service to customers via phone and email
  • Project work as assigned from time to time

 

Must haves:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, management, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in an Office/Administrative Manager role
  • Exceptional leadership and time, task, and resource management skills.
  • Strong problem solving, critical thinking, coaching, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with computers, especially Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to plan for and keep track of multiple projects and deadlines
  • Familiarity with budget planning and enforcement, human resources, and customer service procedures
  • Ability to work alone without guidance
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Strong organizational, time management and follow-through skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
