Fantastic opportunity for an administrative professional who is seeking to join a large and complex company with a friendly corporate culture. This is a 2+ month contract to start, but there is a permanent role available for which the contractor can get consideration.  The corporate office is in Burnaby near Metrotown. 

Who- the Company:

Our client is a very well-established and reputable company with multinational operations. 

What- the Role:

We are seeking a top-notch Administrative Assistant with well-rounded administration, reception, and office coordination skills. The Admin Asst will be reporting into an Executive Assistant and will support the EA with various tasks. The Admin Asst’s responsibilities will vary day-to-day and will include such things as ordering office supplies, reception and answering phone calls, setting-up video conferences, organizing courier deliveries, calendar management, preparation of materials and documents for business meetings, potentially travel coordination and event planning in the future, etc. 
The Administrative Assistant will interact with Executives (Chief Executive Officer, Chief Sales Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Chief HR Officer, etc.). 
Various computer systems and platforms will be used by the Administrative Assistant, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel,  and PowerPoint, video platforms such as Teams and Zoom, and potentially Adobe InDesign. 

Who- the Candidate:

We are looking for people who love providing diverse administrative support! The best possible candidate for this role will be resourceful, intuitive, super self-motivated, professional, organized, and always seeking out ways to help streamline the busy work lives of everyone at the office.  Ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity at all times is paramount in this role. The selected candidate will have at least 2 years of work experience including at least 1 year in a similar corporate administration or receptionist role. Experience with meeting room coordination and calendar management is an asset. Qualified candidates will be confident using various systems and software, and not be shy of trouble-shooting the occasional issue.

How Much:

Competitive hourly rate commensurate with administrative experience and skills. If/when the contract converts to permanent, the new employee will receive a very fair base salary plus a performance-based bonus, good health benefits, RRSP matching, and other perks.
