Nursing Unit Clerk (temporary Full Time)

Position Summary
Northern Health is looking for an experienced, highly efficient, and self-directed temporary full time Nursing Unit Clerk to support the Home & Community Care department.

Under the direction of the Care Coordinator this position performs a variety of medical, clerical and secretarial tasks related to the care and administrative operations of Parkside/Rainbow/Gateway.

Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:00

New Wage: As of April 1, 2023, the new wage is: $27.23/hour

Parkside Intermediate Care Home is a one storey facility that houses 58 residents in single occupancy rooms; each room has its own washroom. There are three separate wings, the 300 and 400 wing house 22 rooms each and the 200 wing has 14 rooms. At the end of the 300 and 400 wing there is a private sitting area for residents/family. Recreation Therapy is provided on site, which provides activities such as hymn-sing, school visits with the elderly, choral groups.

Qualfications
•Grade 12, medical terminology, and graduation from a recognized Nursing Unit Clerk program plus one (1) year's recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
