Nurse Practitioner Fir Program, BC Women's Hospital & Health Centre
We are seeking a passionate and innovative Nurse Practitioner to join the Fir Program at BC Women's Hospital & Health Centre.
FIR is a combined Care Unit that provides care to women using substances and infants exposed to these substances. Working as a multidisciplinary team you will help mother and babe stabilize safely. We provide care and support to mothers throughout their pregnancy and afterward; assisting with transition back to their community after giving birth.
Our goal for thisprogram is to provide patient and symptom-centered carewith the support of our inter-professional team of health care providers. Weemphasizethat treatment choice takes patient preferences into account, and that self-care is supported as well as treatment. Central to this is the development of partnership in care and the facilitation of patient involvement inassessment andtreatment decisions.

- Current registration as a Nurse Practitioner with the British Columbia College of Nursing Professionals (BCCNP).
- Eligibility to complete the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) through the BCCNP.
- A passion for innovation and working with patients with substance use.
- Two to Three (2-3) years of recent, relevant clinical nursing experience
