•Providing client-centered consultation and clinical expertise in wound prevention •Demonstrating expertise and leadership in skin care management •Role models direct patient care skills to staff and students •Developing and implementing teaching plans and evaluating the effectiveness of education programs •Consulting and collaborating with members of the interdisciplinary team •Participating in research, quality improvement, and risk management activities Your background includes:
•Current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nursing Professionals (BCCNP) •Completion of the International Interdisciplinary Wound Care Course (IIWCC) or Wound Ostomy and Continence Nurse (WOCN) Course •Three (3) years' recent experience in Wound and Skin Care within a long-term care/geriatric care setting including one (1) year of education or leadership experience •Valid BC Driver's Licence and access to a personal vehicle for business related purposes
This casual role is a multi-site position based in Abbotsford, BC and is expected to provide services at various long-term care sites throughout Fraser Health.
