A casual Neurodiagnostic (EEG/EMG) Technologist I located in beautiful Burnaby, B.C.

Under the direction of the Technical Lead, you would perform duties related to diagnostic neurophysiology (EEG/EMG) in the operation of the Neurodiagnostic Services Department.

The Neurodiagnostic (NEG/EMG) Technologist is responsible for:
    •Conducts and records EEG, Nerve Conduction Tests and EMG, on patients; •Operating a variety of equipment, calibrating and adjusting equipment during test processes; •Formulates technical preliminary reports by performing duties such as locating and stimulating nerves; •Performs preventative maintenance on equipment by performing duties such as calibrating and cleaning equipment to ensure equipment is producing accurate records; •Analyzing recordings, measuring numerical data, describing abnormal manifestations and forwarding calculations to physician; •Receives and prepares patients for tests by performing duties such as receiving requisitions from physicians, reviewing case history and medical chart to be alter of certain symptoms during the test.

To Be the Successful Candidate you will have:
    •Graduated with an accredited Diploma in Electroneurophysiology, plus one years' recent, related experience. •Current registrations by the following associations:
      •Canadian Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic Technologies (CBRET) •Board of Registration of Electromyography Technologists of Canada (BRETC) •British Columbia Society of Electroneurophysiology Technologists (BCSET) •Association of Electromyography Technologist of Canada (AETC)
