The Service Support Networks team is transforming the way we provide services to our internal customers in our drive to provide faster delivery of best in class management, control, and disaster recovery networks. Moving past theory to practical implementations of automated software defined networking and security we're looking for someone with an understanding of network topologies and security principles to join the team to aid in the transition from legacy policy and practice to next generation of networks as services.

•Project consultation What YOU will do:
Reporting to the Manager - Technology Strategy (Service Support Networks) the successful candidate will work in a team that will support the TELUS Data Centre Network Infrastructure from a Technology Strategy perspective.Qualifications:What YOU Bring:
•Familiar with STP, PVST, MSTP, LLDP, LACP, vPC & vEPC+, FabricPath
•Understands the following routing protocols BGP, ISIS, OSPF and is capable of implementing designs and troubleshooting
•Familiar with test methodologies and creating and implementing test plans
•Skills with the following vendors Cisco, Juniper & Nokia networking hardware
•Linux skills would be bonus
•Familiar with testing tools like IXIA & Spirent
•Experience using Ansible, Chef or Puppet
•Experience from a support/assurance perspective able to work thru a trouble using the tools available, including packet traces, details from the tenants, etc; if they had these skills specific to a DC that would be bonus and beneficial
•Ability to create and maintain the appropriate documentation (i.e. BCP's, test plans, service specific documentation, etc)
•Strong understanding and knowledge of the underlay & overlay technology
•"WE" player not and 'I" player
•Experience with using tools like Wireshark
•Ability to work with other groups in a friendly and respectful manner is a must In YOUR toolkit:
•Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
