Reporting to the Chief Technologist, and under the direction of a Radiologist, performs special procedures such as computer tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), angiography, and diagnostic mammography as designated. Assists the Radiologists during procedure, inputs patient specific data into the Radiology Information System (RIS) PACS and provides direction regarding procedures to student technologists and staff trainees. Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited medical radiography program plus successful completion of a recognized program such as Computer Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Diagnostic Mammography relevant to the designated specialty area(s). Two (2) years recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Current certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT). Eligible for membership with the BC Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (BCAMRT) and/or CAMRT.Skills and Abilities:

Leadership: Promotes staff morale, engagement, and empowerment. Demonstrates creative planning for change and innovations, implementation of NH policies or other protocols, and ongoing professional development of self and others.
Teamwork: Demonstrated ability to foster teamwork and a commitment to excellence in the provision of client care.
Equipment: Demonstrated computer skills including the use of Cerner and Windows based programs. Demonstrated data analysis skills including appropriate data analysis and reporting tools. Demonstrated ability in the use of e-mail and word processing. Ability to operate other related equipment as required in the specific practice area.
