Mortgage Analyst

Our client, a commercial and residential real estate financing firm, is looking for a dynamic and dedicated Mortgage Analyst to join their successful team. This role is an integral part of this fun, energetic and cooperative group. The ideal candidate will have an orientation towards numbers, excellent communication skills and superior attention to detail, with an interest in Mortgage Underwriting as a career. 

Location: Surrey, BC

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for compiling data and preparing reports for review by mortgage brokers
• Underwrite and evaluate mortgage loans
• Evaluate appraisals, credit scores and contracts to create deal reports to be reviewed by credit committee
• Coordinate refinancing for borrowers
• Prepare reports using Excel and PowerPoint
• Prepare loan and investor packages for presentation
• Ensure all documentation is completed and correct
• Liaise with mortgage brokers
• Track invoices for specific projects

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2+ years professional work experience; experience gained through bank or credit union is highly desirable
• Must be familiar with practices and procedures within the real estate industry
• Accounting/finance background would be consider an asset
• Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Must have strong organizational and time management skills along with a high degree of accuracy
• Ability multi-task and make quick decisions
