Millwright: Harvey 2164

An immediate opportunity exists for a Journeyman Millwright to complement our Maintenance crews. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for a wide variety of duties, including supporting our drive for enhanced performance and improved quality and efficiency.


Using your knowledge of maintenance best practices and your ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical and fluid power systems, you will be an integral part of our maintenance team as we strive to provide a safe, environmentally responsible, reliable operation.

In this role you will:

Install, maintain and repair a wide variety of mechanical equipment.

Operate and inspect material handling equipment (such as overhead & mobile cranes); light mobile equipment (such as forklifts, pickup trucks).

Clearly document and communicate completed tasks including a description of the repair completed and any follow-up corrective action required.

Read and interpret blueprints/drawings, produce rough sketches (abbreviations, symbols for machining/welding/assembly, tolerances).

Set up and perform precision alignments on equipment.

Work with other trades in a flexible team environment to achieve greater efficiency and productivity.

Assist Operations in running and troubleshooting mill process equipment.

Perform routine inspections of mill process equipment to ensure safe reliable operation.

Use computerized maintenance management system to enter work requests and purchase materials and supplies as required.


A self-starter and dedicated team player, you have:

a Millwright certificate of qualification

proven troubleshooting skills

superior interpersonal and coaching capabilities

the ability to work flexibly

a valid driver’s license

Job Type: Hourly-Permanent

Union Rates paid - $33.495 / Hour
