Beginning operations in 1966, Robar Industries Ltd. is an international manufacturer of Waterworks fittings. Our Surrey location includes an Iron and Steel Foundry as well as Manufacturing facilities with a range of equipment to fabricate and assemble products. We also manufacture fasteners and gaskets for our product line.
Today, our ISO 9001:2008 certified Foundry casts a variety of Irons; Ductile Iron, Grey Iron, Ni Hard, ADI, and Steels; Mild Steel and Low Alloy up to a yield strength of 145 KSI. Our value added services includes a full range of heat treatment, physical and chemical testing, NDT, paint dipping, epoxy powder coating, and rubber extrusions.
About the Opportunity
Currently, Robar Industries Ltd. is seeking a motivated Millwright to join the Maintenance team in Surrey, BC.
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for fulfilling the maintenance requirements of the plant.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
To be successful in this role you must have an Interprovincial Millwright Trade Qualification with a sound base knowledge and experience in the maintenance of material handling systems. You will also be an independent self-starter, have strong interpersonal and communication skills, have a strong mechanical aptitude, be able to handle a fast-paced work environment and enjoy troubleshooting and solving problems as they arise.
About the Benefits
You will be part of the hourly employee group covered under the Labour Agreement with the united steelworkers union. The position currently pays a competitive hourly rate and also offers a wealth of benefits including Dental, EHB, AD&D, Group Life, and Long Term Disability.
