About Mount Milligan Mine

Located approximately 155 kilometres northwest of Prince George in central BC, the Mount Milligan Mine is a conventional truck-shovel open-pit copper and gold mine and concentrator with a 60,000 tpd capacity copper flotation processing plant. 

Mount Milligan operates with comfortable camp accommodations equipped with private washrooms, TV, Wi-Fi, an onsite gym, and other recreational activities. Bus transportation to and from site is provided free of charge from several locations within the region. 

Mount Milligan promotes a drug and alcohol-free workplace and has adopted a zero-tolerance policy with respect to alcohol or unauthorized drugs on site.

About the Opportunity

We have an opportunity for a full-time Mill Operations Administrator to join our Mount Milligan Mine operations site.

This is a camp-based position, with a set work schedule on a 4/3 work schedule, Monday to Thursday, 10 hours per day. 

Reporting to the Mill Operations Manager, the Mill Operations Administrator will be responsible for providing clerical and administrative support to the Mill Operations, Metallurgy, and Assay Lab Departments.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Track and report operations-related data and maintain various databases
  • Assist with basic payroll and time & attendance and vacation activities
  • Assist with personnel scheduling and accommodation booking
  • Attend meetings and prepare related documents, including meeting minutes 
  • Develop and maintain filing systems
  • Manage office, lunchroom, and safety supplies and order as required
  • Assist with operational document creation, editing, and updating
  • Assist with maintaining training and Learning Management System records
  • Assist with incident investigation, documentation, and follow-up
  • Performs any other responsibilities related to the Administrator role as required or as assigned by the department head
About You

To qualify, you must have 3-5 years of experience in a fast-paced office environment. You must also possess a Valid Driver’s License and have access to personal transportation.

The following skills and experiences will also be critical to successfully performing this role:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Experience with enterprise software (SAP, ABB Ellipse… etc) is an asset
  • Excellent organization skills with a high degree of accuracy
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and multi-task
  • Experience with technical writing is an asset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Innovative thinking and strong interpersonal skills 
  • Willing to work with a variety of personalities within a culturally diverse environment
  • Good work ethic, self-starter, desire to develop professional skills and a high-performance attitude
  • Strong ability to build relationships and work effectively with others at all levels of the organization
  • Required to meet pre-employment testing requirements
