Metering Quotation Specialist:  Harvey 2189

Our company supplies and integrates several meter technologies to provide sub-metering systems to effectively monitor the consumption of electricity, water, gas and thermal meters.  We have offices in Coquitlam, Calgary, and Toronto and have a support and distribution network across the country including Edmonton and Montreal.

We are looking for a Quotation Specialist who would be an integral member of our team, who reports to the Senior Manager in our office. This individual will be responsible for assessing project requirements and obtaining the best possible price for the customer, while maintaining margin objectives for the company  

The responsibilities will include: 

  • Obtain and organize incoming quotation requests from Sales team and Project Manager

  • Updating and managing CRM software

  • Perform system take-offs from tender documents, and single line drawings.

  • Provide pricing quotations and following up on quotes

  • Liaise with purchasing manager in regards to pricing

  • Facilitate a job closing strategy with sales team prior to a tender closing

  • Conduct quotation follow ups to obtain tender closing bid results

  • Successful candidate will be working closely with the sales and account management teams

  • Provide feedback and reporting to sales and management team as to reasoning behind successful and unsuccessful opportunities.

  • Maintain and strengthen client and distributor relationships 

Skills and Experience

  • Completion of post-secondary education in related field
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills and attention to detail
  • Experience with electrical and mechanical drawings and tender documents
  • Ability to identify, plan, organize, prioritize and execute projects in a timely manner
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a dynamic project environment with changing priorities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, must be fluent in English
  • Highly skilled in a Windows Office environment, knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, a must
  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM software an asset

This is a fulltime position

Salary is open, depending on current working experience
