opportunity for you to bring your excellent work ethic as a dedicated Mental Health Clinician/Behavioural Consultant
within our Mental Health and Substance Use Program
located in Burnaby, British Columbia
In this position you will provides case management, applied behavioural analysis/behavioural intervention, individual/group counselling services and consultation to clients with concurrent developmental disability and psychiatric disorders.Build on your education and career experience as you:
•Participate and contribute to assessing clients' progress; follow up on the implementation and re-evaluation of behavioural strategies with interdisciplinary team members and client's support network. •Develop and deliver time-limited, evidence-based individual and group counselling using techniques appropriate for individuals living with developmental disability/psychiatric disorders. •Consult and provide assessment, treatment and follow-up to clients. •Perform case reviews and evaluation of processes. •Prepare reports of relevant observations and evaluation of care to ensure continuity of quality service, communication and client documentation. To join this dynamic team you have:
•Master's Degree in Clinical Counselling/Psychology, Social Work, or other relevant health related discipline. •Two (2) years recent experience providing direct behavioural therapy and counselling support to children or adults with mental illness or developmental disability, inclusive of one (1) year of independent (post-Masters) practice, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. •Valid Class V B.C.
