Are you efficient and organized, with a keen eye for detail? Help our clinic run effectively so we can provide the support our clinic staff need to deliver the best possible patient care.What you'll doArrange meetings, book meeting rooms, notify attendees, and circulate relevant material. Act as a recording secretary by preparing agendas; drafting, typing and distributing meeting minutes. Initiate and take follow-up action as indicated in the minutes.Screen and prioritize incoming requests for the attention of medical team staff by: Determining urgency of incoming calls and taking appropriate action.Relaying patient information to and from doctor's offices and outside hospitals.Obtaining reports by contacting appropriate departments or outside sources.Ensuring timely follow up action is taken by medical staff in response to calls.Coordinating appointments and tests for patients.Accessing patient information system to retrieve patient data.Coordinating clinic and other appointments for medical staff.Initiating responses where appropriate. Coordinate and prepare for clinic conferences, including: Sending out notices.Typing case notes/histories.Co-ordinating patient activity with ACU staff.Photocopying. Prepare on-call lists and weekly staff schedule. What you bring
You have demonstrated ability to:
- Grade 12 graduation.
- Graduation from a recognized secretarial program, including a recognized course in medical transcription.
- Three (3) years' recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Keyboard 60 wpm.
- Operate related equipment.
- Deal with others effectively.
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Organize work.
- Physically carry out the duties of the position.
