Medical Office Assistant Hilltop Medical Clinic - White Rock, BC - Surrey, BC

Required Availability: 

Part time and Full Time positions available. 

1) Monday - Friday 9 am to 5 pm

2) Monday - Friday 9 am to 2 pm

Hilltop Medical is one of the largest clinics in British Columbia. We have a large team of family physicians, and have recently added Cardiology as well as cardiac testing to our vast services. Position Summary:

Working alongside our physicians and nurses to provide front end administrative duties for a team of physicians.

  • Perform MOA duties including but not limited to; Answering Phones, Booking Appointments, Rooming Patients, Performing Measures, Recording with Accuracy, Referrals, Recalls, Exam Set-up, Patient Registration, Scanning and Electronic Filing, Small letters.
  • Operate all required equipment

Requirements: Education, Training and Experience

  • Medical Office Assistant Diploma, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Office Assistant
  • Profile (EMR) knowledge is an asset

Requirements: Skills and Abilities

  • Strong Command of Computers including, Electronic Medical Records (Preferably Profile), and MS Office Suite (Preferably 365), Electronic Faxing.
  • Experience with a Multi-Line phone system.
  • Works well in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Works in an organized manner.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Excellent command of the English language, both verbal and written. (Other language skills considered an asset).
  • Effective decision making skills and problem solving abilities.
  • Is punctual and reliable, as well as professional in appearance and actions.

Position Reports to first the appropriate Team Lead, then the Clinic Manager.
