MECHANICAL MAINTENANCE MANAGER – PULP & PAPER

The maintenance superintendent will be responsible for providing leadership to mechanical maintenance supervisors to support the fast-paced operating mill. You will be responsible for (but not limited to):
Budgeting, forecasting and all expenditures relating to the mechanical maintenance of plant operations
Develop and implement a training programme for all the mechanical maintenance staff
Assist senior management in the preparation of capital projects – managing the team that is responsible for implementation of these projects
Monitor the existing maintenance programme for the mill
Oversee the installation, repair and upkeep of machinery and mechanical maintenance systems
Delegate daily duties
Conduct and follow up on employee performance reviews
Must have technical background – Red Seal/Engineering Certification
Must have previous experience in forestry (pulp & paper ideally)
Experience leading and Managing a team of 10-30 people
Strong people skills – coach mentality
