The Opportunity:

WSP is currently searching for a 2 nd to 4 th year Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Technology Co-op Student to join us starting May 2026. The successful candidate will have a strong academic background and be eligible to participate in an accredited co-op program.

What you can expect to do here:
  • Supporting our Mechanical Engineering Team, we are looking for a self-motivated team member to help assist with projects
  • Assist with project related duties, this may include review of mechanical designs and drawings field data collection, analysis, design, co-ordination of resources within the department
  • Prepare design calculations, drawings, sketches, technical reports and papers
  • Assist in providing technical advice to clients and project teams (consultants and contractors)
  • Manage multiple priorities
  • Make contributions to company knowledge management and practice systems
  • Learn and excel through daily project work
  • Other duties as assigned/required.

What you'll bring to WSP:
  • 2nd to 4th year engineering or technology program student eligible to participate in the mechanical engineering co-op program
  • Excellent academic record
  • Desire to work toward P.Eng or equivalent designation
  • Ability to quickly identify and understand project issues and opportunities
  • A team player who thrives on working with other successful, energetic people
  • Excellent communicator, with strong verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Good initiative, attention to detail
