Temporary Tradesperson - Mechanic

Reporting to the Fleet Maintenance Foreman within the Facilities Division, the Vehicle Mechanic Tradesperson is responsible for the maintenance and repair of our varied fleet of vehicles and equipment.
The successful applicant will be one who possesses considerable knowledge and experience in the maintenance and repair of light and medium duty vehicles and equipment, diesel trucks and schools buses, and heavy mobile equipment.
A BCTQ or Inter provincial ticket in either Automotive, Commercial Transport, or Heavy Duty Mechanics
Commercial Vehicle Inspection Certificate with Air Brake Endorsement
A valid BC Driver’s License – Class 3 with Air endorsement
The Surrey School District prides itself on providing our facilities staff with excellent work-life balance. This days-only position offers a shift of 7am-3pm, Monday to Friday. This is a unionized position that offers an hourly wage rate of $31.91, plus a liberal benefit package that includes a pension plan, health, vacation and sick benefits.
