MAT LEAVE: Real Estate Legal Administrative Assistant

Our client, located in the beautiful city of North Vancouver, is looking to add a Contract Legal Administrative Assistant who specializes in Real Estate Law, to their fantastic team! This is an excellent opportunity for a legal professional who is looking to work in an in-house role and join one of Canada's most well established corporations. Our client values a collaborative working culture, and is committed to its people, their growth and helping them build a rewarding career.
Duties for this position includes, drafting, preparing and managing legal documentation, managing corporate governance requirements and corporate, commercial and risk management issues, and liaising with internal and external parties.

The successful candidate will be knowledgeable on the basic legal principles and processes, be able to conduct legal research, obtain and analyze factual and legal documentation and information, manage and track trademark applications, manage the preparation and filing of annual corporate records (and other pertinent legal documents) and provide effective legal support to the team.

Education and Qualifications

• Legal Administrative Assistant Certification
• 2 - 5+ years of experience working within a similar role
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate, negotiate and influence all levels of an organization including external stakeholders
• Resourceful and driven to continually develop knowledge and skills in a challenging, evolving and supportive environment.
• A self-starter who is comfortable with taking responsibility and enjoys working as part of a team
• Flexible and pragmatic with a focus on solving problems and delivering solutions.
