What does a day look like in my role?
We get it: You need to know what you're signing up for before you apply, right? This is what you need to know: As the Marketing Coordinator in Shared Services, you'll be responsible for:
  • Support all marketing initiatives for Redbrick.
  • Assist with Redbrick/portfolio corporate events (both external or when we are hosting - research, landing pages, marketing materials, etc).
  • Maintain/execute a defined content strategy for Redbrick and its portfolio of companies.
    • This involves potentially managing freelance writers to help contribute thought leadership pieces, SEO articles, news, press releases, and employee articles that are posted on corporate websites, and social.
  • Liaison with external public relations partners.
  • Perform key public relations initiatives such as applying for awards, pitching media contacts, and facilitating partnerships.
  • Review, recommend and ensure all branding for Redbrick and portfolio companies are kept consistent.
  • Assist HR with paid marketing campaigns for career openings.
  • Assist portfolio companies with any ad copy, ad design, or landing pages.
  • Develop, implement, execute, and support lead generation strategies across various channels across all our portfolio companies.
  • Assist with any email marketing campaigns on a corporate or portfolio level.
  • Assist with any video and photography needed on the corporate level as well as portfolio level.
  • Assist in new branding initiatives (content, design, strategy).
  • Review and recommend content changes and strategies.
  • Perform competitive research and analysis to support the marketing objectives across Redbrick corporate and all portfolio companies.
  • Support our current social media coordinator with Redbrick and portfolio company's corporate social communication (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook etc.)


Key milestones:

After 1 week:
  • You will be onboarded within the marketing and shared service team to get a sense of how you will fit within the company
  • You will be introduced to our portfolio of brands


After 1 month:
  • You will be familiar with our various brands and major marketing initiatives
  • You will understand our marketing strategy and calendar and begin to make an impact in both strategy and decision making
  • You will have met with all of our portfolio companies to understand their marketing goals


After 6 months:
  • You will feel confident in your role and will be creating change across the organization
  • You have built a strong rapport with your team, the larger shared services team, and the portfolio brand owners
  • You are leading marketing initiatives from ideation to completion, understanding both short and long-term goals


What we would like to see in you?
Every Redbricker has three things in common: We're curious, hungry and good-humoured. We try our best to balance hard work with good, old-fashioned fun. As the Marketing Coordinator with Shared Services, there are extra specialties we're on the lookout for:
  • Bachelor's in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field; or equivalent related professional experience.
  • 1-3 years experience in a marketing environment
  • Exceptional written communication skills - you have an excellent grasp of the mechanics of the English language.
  • You are adaptable, eager to learn, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • You are a self-starter; eager to dive into projects but also comfortable asking for help along the way.
  • Strong digital literacy (PC or Mac environment) with experience in Google Workspace (Gmail, Google Docs, Google Sheets, etc.).
  • Experience with Content Management System (CMS)
