Job Description

Well-rounded intermediate-level marketing role involving communication with members, event promotion & planning, digital marketing, and partnerships. A reputable and values-based organization based in Vancouver that works to strengthen communities and advance meaningful initiatives across British Columbia. The organization is looking for a creative, organized marketing professional to join a collaborative team and help grow its programs, partnerships, events, and member engagement.

What- The Role:
This is a hands-on Marketing & Business Development Coordinator role with plenty of variety. The new Coordinator will work on marketing campaigns, events, sponsorships, digital content, member programs, and external communication (with partners and members). This is a contract role to start, with an “as soon as possible” start date following interviews. SWIM can provide interested candidates with a full job description.

What- The Responsibilities:

Coordinate marketing campaigns, events, sponsorships, and partner initiatives.
Use Adobe InDesign to create engaging marketing materials across digital and print channels.
Support sponsor and exhibitor relationships from onboarding through event delivery.
Manage website content, social media, email marketing, and digital platforms.
Support website administration, maintenance, and content design (using a website content management system). Support ongoing SEO improvements.
Design materials using Adobe InDesign, including event collateral, presentations, signage, and social graphics.
Create and edit video and other digital content.
Track program, sponsorship, and marketing activity and help measure results.
Work closely with communications and other colleagues to ensure a consistent, engaging brand experience.

Who- The Candidate:
We are looking for an intermediate-level marketing professional with 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in marketing, communications, business development, sponsorship, events, membership, or a related field. It’s an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats, balancing creativity with coordination, and seeing their work have a tangible impact.

Experience working in an Association, Society, or NPO with a membership base is highly preferred.
Strong marketing, writing, and content-development skills.
Post-secondary education in marketing or business is preferred, such as a degree, diploma, or certificate.
Systems-
- Experience with social media, email marketing, CRMs, and digital platforms.
- Hands-on experience using Adobe InDesign.
Experience supporting website content management and website maintenance.
Excellent organization and attention to detail.
Strong relationship-building and customer service skills.
The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
A proactive, collaborative approach and a willingness to jump in wherever needed.

Where:
Hybrid (at least 3 days/week in office). Vancouver, not downtown but very close to a Sky Train station. Occasional evening/weekend work will be required for major events (and will be compensated with equivalent time-off-in-lieu). Candidates must be available every workday in the month of November.

How Much:
This is a contract role to start, with an hourly rate equivalent to $54,000 to $64,000 on an annual salaried basis. The contractor will also receive 4% vacation pay.
