Purpose of the Role:

You’ll participate across a broad spectrum of marketing initiatives with a primary focus on supporting, executing, and monitoring the company’s ability to successfully move individuals through the client journey across multiple touchpoints, both digital and traditional.    

As our Marketing Automation Specialist, you’re responsible for the marketing automation platform (Marketo) and fully leveraging its capabilities to facilitate effective communication and lead nurturing. Working closely with the communications, brand, and event teams, you implement programmatic initiatives through Marketo.   

This role operates on a hybrid working schedule in either Vancouver or Toronto. 

Core Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute email marketing programs, including segmentation, testing, and deployment, while continually evaluating these for improvements.  
  • Improve segmentation, personalization strategies, and boost performance with our target audience using data-driven, multi-touch communications.  
  • Ensure our messages are delivered by following best practices, maintaining exceptional list hygiene, and implementing new deliverability strategies.   
  • Collaborate with brand, communications, and event teams to create campaign collateral and stay consistent with the broader marketing team’s strategy.    
  • Support essential marketing operations initiatives in Marketo and Salesforce such as managing the lead lifecycle, lead scoring, lead nurturing, segmentation, and data cleansing.   
  • Create, test, and optimize campaign landing pages to improve the conversion funnel.   
  • Manage marketing automation efforts and processes, proactively researching and implementing the latest best practices, strategies, and industry standards.   
  • Understand and evaluate campaign performance to provide recommendations and continuously improve campaigns.  
  • Plan and perform A/B testing to define and execute enhancements to productivity, conversion rates, and programs/campaign ROI.   
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field.  
  • 3 + years marketing automation experience in Marketo.  
  • Expert knowledge of database management concepts and best practices.   
  • Strong working knowledge of SFDC.   
  • Superior communication skills, both written and verbal.  
  • Exceptional organizational skills.  
  • Strong independent project management skills.  
  • Able to think critically and exercise independent judgment and discretion.   
Compensation & Benefits Package:

This position comes with a base salary range of $70,000 - $87,000 plus a competitive performance bonus, RRSP contribution and participation in our profit-sharing program. Base salary will be commensurate with experience, skills, and qualifications.
