On behalf of our client, RE/MAX of Nanaimo we are searching for an experienced and self-motivated Managing Broker to join the leadership team in Nanaimo, British Columbia on Central Vancouver Island. We are a vibrant, fast paced brokerage of 100+ highly successful Associates. We are looking for a dynamic individual with a strong track record of exceptional client service and a proven track record of management success.  The ideal candidate will be very comfortable managing and building a diverse group of realtors while being friendly, approachable, professional and detail-oriented.

The Managing Broker’s primary function will be to supervise and offer guidance and training in a broad range of topics ranging from agency to business development to the brokerage Realtors®.


  • Advising Realtors® in contracts and sales transactions
  • Provision of services and marketing resources for agents
  • Instructs, trains and provides training materials for realtors
  • Reviewing of contracts and transactions to ensure compliance with Council, Board and office rules, policies and procedures
  • Respond to complaints, claims and audits with the ability to assess and answer realtor questions effectively
  • Ensure agents are in compliance with Council Rules
  • Recruit and train new Realtors® to the company as well as coaching associates and reviewing their performance

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years brokerage experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Managing Broker’s License
  • Professional communicator who can effectively network with various demographics
  • Real Estate and market analysis experience
  • Strong knowledge of local real estate market
  • Solid demonstrated leadership and management experience
  • Robust recruitment and retention skills
  • Well-versed in helping others to achieve their abilities by mentoring, training and coaching
  • Excellent Computer skills - Knowledge of MS Word and Excel
  • Versatility while working with changing priorities and multitasking

This role will appeal to an energetic individual who is a great liaison and people-person with the ability to develop and cultivate effective relationships while delivering an exceptional customer experience. This role may appeal to a well experienced Real Estate Agent looking to make the move out of sales and into management.
