Position Highlights

The Manager, Service Management provides strategic leadership, innovative services and hands-on expertise to Fraser Health executive within a busy consulting portfolio.

You will have the opportunity to combine your expertise in leadership, IT service management, stakeholder relations, communications, governance management, portfolio development, resource & project management and decision support, along with your understanding and ability to apply ITIL Service Management Framework best practices to recommend, develop and implement process and tool improvements that will expand and mature the overall IT Service Management environment at Fraser Health, all while providing leadership to a high-functioning team.

Build on your career experience as you:
    •Develop and lead the Service Design, Transition and Operations areas within FH's Service Management group, including the definition and implementation of ITIL-based improvements to services directly managed by this group, as well as support and consultation for improvements to IM/IT services managed by other areas within FH. •Lead and facilitate the development, implementation and oversight of new ITIL-based service management processes, standards, tools, roles, guidance and support for Health Informatics members and the customers, systems and services they support, including information, education/training and advocacy among the broader IT Leadership group at FH. •Act as FH's Workplace Evolving Services and Technology (WEST) Change Lead (FH's operational representation for the WEST Program) and contribute to the definition, development and implementation of ongoing improvements to the WEST Program and its Vested ® service management model. •Provide oversight and support (and coordination, as necessary) of all planned and active projects (formal / chartered and informal) within the Service Management portfolio. •Establish and maintain effective working relationships with core service providers (particularly PHSA), in support of ongoing improvement in the shared and dependent elements of the IT Service Management model between our organizations. •Work in conjunction with other senior leaders of the Technology and Service Management team to develop and improve service management elements (e.g. processes, toolsets, data, etc.) in support of the maturation of the Workplace Technology and Technical Infrastructure & Support service portfolios. •Participate in strategic and operational governance to support Health Informatics and Information Technology investments, strategic imperatives, and operational efficiencies. This includes working with the Director, Technology and Service Management and other senior leadership to develop and support FH's technology strategy and goals. •Support the establishment, development and implementation of the overall goals and objectives of the Technology and Service Management department, including providing leadership and support for staff within the various portfolios under the Service Management area - for direct reports, this includes establishment of annual performance management objectives, ensuring documentation of these objectives in FH's performance management tool, and measurement of performance against those objectives.

Here is what we would like you to have:
    •Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or a related field. •Five (5) years management experience in a medium to large sized organization working with computerized health information systems. •Experience working with and applying ITIL Service Management principles. •Experience with technology infrastructure in a health care environment is preferred.

An equivalent combination of education, training and experience is acceptable.
