As the Property Manager, you are responsible for providing a wide range of real estate services for Canfor's real property portfolio in BC and Alberta. You support the acquisition, disposition, and merging of company properties and conduct due diligence such as appraisal, tax analysis, title review, and environmental assessments. An expert in all real estate matters; you provide consultation to the management team and facilitate/negotiate land use requests such as rights of way, easements, expropriation, leases, licenses, and permits.

While wearing your property assessment and tax administration hat, you work to manage assessment appeals, liaise with assessors, and retain tax consultants to assist with assessment appeals. You also maintain accurate records, review annual property assessments to seek opportunities to reduce payments, and ensure everything is paid on time.

Ideally, you have numerous years of property management or asset management experience in industrial or forestry real estate and a background in real estate tax assessment. You also have a foundational understanding of real estate law and land title systems. For bonus points, you have working knowledge of the LANDAT property management software.
