Within Transport Engineering Deployment, the focus is on evolving our transport network technologies getting them ready using colorless, directionless and contentionless capabilities to implement a step function improvement in efficiency.

Here's how
    •Provide strategic vision, leadership and innovation to a highly effective technical team with National Transport responsibilities •Deliver on the mandate of deploying transport technologies for the TELUS transport network •Lead the delivery of next generation platforms and service capabilities •Lead the understanding and development of the TELUS virtualized network environment and help foster a closer alignment between the development and operational areas to drive successful outcomes of these complex projects •Build relationships with internal stakeholders in Planning, Project Management, the Chief Technology Office and external customers to maximize improvements in customer experience •Provide mentorship and guidance to Design Specialists to enhance career and growth opportunities to position TELUS strategically •Provide coaching and mentoring to bargaining unit staff to maintain their high level of expertise in a technology shifting landscape

    •Recognized for your strategic thinking and ability to execute in a creative manner •Regarded for your strong leadership capabilities to manage cross-functional teams •Valued for building strong relationships and influencing stakeholders •Commended for your track record of leading engaged teams members •Passionate about coaching team members towards developing skills across teams •Committed to decision-making based on sound financial and market assessments; excellent problem-solving •Confident with various budgeting processes and tools (familiarity with capital and operational expense budgets and budget planning) •With a University degree

Great-to-haves
    •Experience working in virtualized environments •Experience in a Dev/Ops environment or familiarity with Agile program development •Ability to work through ambiguity and provide clarity for supporting team
