Who- the Company:
Our client is a not-for-profit organization in the healthcare sector. The company has a history of over 40 years and is well-regarded as an NPO that provides great care and service to individuals in need.
What- the Role:
The organization is seeking a new Accounting Manager who will report into the CEO and lead the NPO’s accounting & finance team (2 direct reports). The Acct Mgr will be joining a team of approximately 10 people on the corporate & administration team, and an overall team of 150+ employees.
Our client is ideally seeking a Manager who will work full-time hours, but they are open to considering qualified individuals who would prefer a reduced work schedule.
What- the Responsibilities:
Lead the day-to-day accounting & finance function.
Responsible for reporting including period end reporting, annual reporting, governmental reporting, and ad hoc internal reporting.
Provide decision support and business guidance to the Executive team.
Hands-on management of cash flow estimates, forecasts, budgets, banking, and tax returns.
Supervise AP, AR, and Payroll,
Develop and maintain systems, processes, and procedures.
Who- the Candidate:
We are looking for a well-rounded accounting professional who has experience overseeing and managing the accounting & finance function of a small company and who has previously led 1-3 direct reports. Experience in the healthcare sector is highly preferred. Experience with a not-for-profit (NPO) organization is also an asset. CPA accounting designation (or International equivalent) is preferred but not required. We are seeking people who are compassionate, kind, and very much in alignment with the important values held by this organization.
Located in Burnaby, BC, close to Metrotown. There may be opportunity to work from home on occasion, please discuss with SWIM. The Manager of Finance will have their own private office.
