General Fusion is transforming how the world is energized by developing the first commercially-viable fusion power plant. Fusion will deliver clean, safe and on-demand power at industrial scale, providing a powerful complement to renewables and a pathway to a zero-emission grid. 

Combining new technologies, proven industrial processes, and advances in fundamental fusion science, General Fusion aims to be the first in the world to develop commercial fusion power. Key performance requirements have been demonstrated at the system level, setting the stage for building a pre-commercial fusion power prototype.

Position Overview:

General Fusion is currently seeking a Manager, Investor Relations to effectively develop and maintain  the communications plan for existing and potential investors.  This role will support the Vice President, Investor Relations in capital raise related activities. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop content for GF investor related public facing materials, this will include management presentations
  • Oversee all aspects of the virtual data room
  • Primary IR interface with the marketing communications team
  • Interface with the General Fusion technical team to create investor related content
  • Interface directly with existing and potential investors
  • Act as the primary point of contact for developing and maintaining the General Fusion commercial model
  • Provide strategic guidance on commercialization strategies as related to a clean tech company bringing a product to market
  • When required present to the General Fusion executive team


Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • A minimum of five years of recent, related experience in a leadership role.
  • 7 years of experience in finance, accounting and/or corporate development
  • Ability to develop and effectively communicate perspectives on strategic and financial matters
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills
  • Strong business acumen and excellent decision-making skills
  • Strong team player who also works well independently



  • Undergraduate or master’s degree in Finance or Related Field, or equivalent applicable technical degree.
