Manager, Internal Audit

Horizon Recruitment is conducting a search for an experienced Manager, Internal Audit for our client, a leader and pioneer in their field with international operations. This position requires an experienced Internal Audit professional to hit the ground running and drive the review of internal controls, SOX compliance and inventory audits. The company is looking for a strong communicator who can communicate with all levels of the organization and has a proven ability to identify and implement process improvements.

Description:

• Manage the internal controls program
• Prepare audit reports and plans for senior management
• Drive continuous improvement in the audit function
• Support M&A activities, including post acquisition integration
• Lead SOX compliance audit for multiple locations
• Visit site operations to conduct reviews and audits
• Document policies and procedures and perform gap analysis reporting results where insufficient controls exist and provide input into policy development
• Support external auditors and senior management during year end audit and due diligence work
• Be a hands-on leader, helping to guide a small team

Requirements:

• Recognized accounting designation (CA, CPA, CGA, CMA)
• Public practice experience combined with 3-5 years industry experience in an Internal Audit position is preferred
• Proven ability to develop and manage audit plans
• Previous experience with SOX compliance audits
• Experienced in business process documentation and analysis
• Comfort dealing with senior executives and excellent communication skills
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing environments and requirements
• Travel will be required when the climate for doing so improves
