A regulatory agency established by the provincial government in 1958, RECBC transitioned to a Crown agency in 2018. As a public-sector organization, RECBC continues to be responsible for licensing, licensee and public education, investigation of licensee conduct and licensee discipline. As co-regulators, both the Superintendent and RECBC have the mandate to ensure consumer protection in relation to the conduct and integrity of real estate licensees, through their separate but related functions under the Real Estate Services Act.

Manager of Information Technology
Reporting to the Director, Corporate Services, the Manager of Information Technology will plan, coordinate, direct and manage all activities related to the Information Technology environment for RECBC.
The hallmarks of this role will be ensuring alignment of systems integrity with the business objectives of the organization and working closely with stakeholders, senior and executive leadership, vendors and end-users to identify, recommend, develop, test, implement, troubleshoot, evaluate and analyze cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization. This includes managing the installation, configuration and maintenance of hardware (e.g., desktop computers, servers, storage, etc.), software, network; carrying out a wide variety of maintenance, upgrades and management activities to ensure system privacy, security and regulatory compliance through best practices.
