STRIVE is currently partnered with a leading Real Estate firm as they search for a Director, Financial Planning & Analysis to join their high-performing financial planning & analysis team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced leader of FP&A for a highly visible role within the company, requiring someone who is comfortable frequently presenting to executives, is a recognized leader, is an analytical powerhouse, and loves business partnering.
This role requires a Director or Senior Manager who has a strong track record of leading company initiatives. The ideal candidate is a relationship builder, has strong EQ, and known to have the trust of executives and business stakeholders. This role requires a well-rounded finance professional with solid technical skills, as well as an intuitive analytical mind. The successful applicant will be someone who has worked in large and complex organizations, constantly drives positive change, has experience with CPM tool design and implementation, and can fluently deliver the insights behind the numbers to steer the right conversations for decision-makingRESPONSIBILITIES
•Deliver the FP&A team's mandate and priorities with excellence. Be a strategic and trusted analytical resource to the Executive Team.
•Lead project team and implementation partner on build of new modules and phases, and enhancements/continuous improvement of completed modules
•Data Analytics and automation are big priorities for the company; evolve the analytics journey, drive process evolution and efficiencies to get to insights faster and easier
•Business Partner to:
•Chief Operating Officer, including Data Governance Team and Office Services Team
•Chief Technology Officer, including the whole IT Team
•Lead Managed Services analytics:
•Foundational Shared Services (IT, HR, Office)
•Specialized Shared Services (specialized groups contributing to the benefit of our investment pools)
•Dedicated Property Services
•Lead business analysis, raise key insights and recommendations and prepare presentations to enable SVP's, C-suite leadership, and other senior leaders evaluate business initiatives, projects, and decisions.REQUIREMENTS
•Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in FP&A, Corporate Finance supporting C-suite, Business Unit/Operational Finance with direct business partner roles, and Insights/Analytics.
•You have led others in a "best in class" financial planning & analysis capacity. You have operated in both a Corporate and a Business Unit/Business Partner capacity, with a strong ability to influence and enable decisions.
•Displays strong aptitude and knowledge of working with technology in a finance environment
•Must have systems implementation experience with CPM/EPMs, know how to effectively lead internal and external resources,
•Highly proficient with using ERPs, BI/visualization tools, analytical tools, and MS Office applications.
•Must have deep and complex analytical experiences, excellent critical thinking, and takes a "hands on" approach to the role. You have the innate ability to go "high" and "low", able to think through situations strategically and able to roll up your sleeves.
•Mastered understanding of accounting/finance principles (IFRS, GAAP), and operational finance.
•Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills
•Extensive experience with effectively and confidently presenting to C-Suite and Executive Teams.
•University degree with major in business, finance, mathematics, accounting, or economics. Holding or is working toward an MBA, CFA, CPA or other relevant professional designation is considered an asset.REWARDS
