Summary

Reporting to the Director, Digital Risk & Cyber Security, this role will incorporate data science and analytics into security functions and applications. Specifically, the Manager, Cyber Analytics, Intelligence & Reporting will establish how machine learning, artificial intelligence and analytics can be deployed to automate tasks, coordinate security functions and ultimately use algorithms and mathematical models to reduce risk and provide intelligent decision support solutions.

This role will be responsible for critical thinking and identifying data sources, sifting through raw data and turning this data into relevant intelligence for senior business leaders across Teck.

Responsibilities

  • Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
  • Be the trusted advisor to senior leadership
  • Coordinate assignments in relation to the development of fully independent intelligence and analytics reporting
  • Create and present complete, original and final reports to senior leaders on relevant intelligence affecting the organization and provide guidance on the relative costs and benefits of potential actions
  • Lead project meetings with senior leaders/sponsors representing Digital Risk and Cyber Security
  • Act as the domain mentor and coach across multiple lines of business within cyber security
  • Lead and participate in mapping process flow and data analysis to connect data sources to reporting requirements
  • Run information security, data documentation and delivery of relevant training
  • Participate in incident response activities and incorporate lessons learned into security requirements and solution architectures for continuous improvement
  • Lead projects across multi-domains where processes could be more complex or require a higher touch (i.e. IT, OT, etc)
  • Resolve challenges by working alongside a diverse team of employees/contractors within a matrix organizational structure

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary degree in Management/Business, Computer Science or Engineering and at least 10 years of technical experience in Engineering, Legal, Business Management, Corporate Security, Information Security, or equivalent work experience
  • Proficient understanding of cyber (architecture, network, or operations) and fully competent in sophisticated digital risk, cyber and investigative techniques/ procedures
  • Expert in risk and information security cyber analysis and data
  • Outstanding knowledge in financial reporting, payment card industry standards, data privacy and industry regulations
  • Ability to communicate with senior leaders on sophisticated and technical issues, and supporting senior leaders with business decisions while balancing alternatives against a variety of constraints
  • Senior leadership experience building and nurturing relationships with internal business customers and within a team of business and technology authorities
  • Ability to successfully work under tight project deadlines
  • Outstanding abilities in interpersonal communication
  • Experience with designing an effective change management plan
  • Experience with mentoring, training and coaching less experienced employees
  • Power BI, Azure, SQL and data modelling capabilities
  • Experience with DevOps, Agile methodologies and Design methodologies

Salary Range: $141,000 - $175,000

The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate's relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
