Position Information

Location New Westminster/Coquitlam Campus Salary Range
Band 11 (Minimum- $92,139 , Control Point- $122,852, Maximum- $135,137). Placement within a salary band is typically up to Control Point based on skills, experience and internal equity. May place over Control Point in limited circumstances.
The Opportunity
Douglas College is seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Manager, Contract Administration to lead the development and implementation of contract risk management programs, policies, and training. This role provides oversight and guidance for all non-employment contracts, including service agreements, MOUs, student placement agreements, software licenses, and more. WHAT IT TAKES
EDUCATION , EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

To be successful in this role you will need:

    • Established professional credibility as evidenced by a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited post-secondary institution in a related area of study.
    • A minimum of five years' progressively senior commercial contract management and risk management experience in an environment of similar scope and complexity.
    • Progressive supervisory experience, preferably in a unionized, public sector environment.
    • Demonstrated training experience and current knowledge of issues, regulations and best practices in the areas of contract administration and enterprise risk management.
    • Canadian Risk Management ( CRM ) designation preferred.
    • Or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
    • Demonstrated working knowledge of the theories, principles and practices of:

      • Enterprise Risk Management
      • Contract Law
      • Indemnity
      • Waivers
      • Contract Negotiation
      • Risk Assessment, Risk Management, Risk Transfer
      • Freedom of Information & Protection of Privacy ( FOIPPA )
      • Project Management


    • Demonstrated organizational, analytical and leadership skills together with an ability to ensure effective decision-making within a collegial environment.
    • Demonstrated written, verbal and interpersonal communications skills together with proven experience in resolving conflict.
    • Ability to effectively work under pressure, using excellent organizational and time management skills, and attention to detail to produce a quality work product within tight time constraints.
    • Demonstrated ability to exercise critical thinking, independent judgement and problem-solving skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to model appropriate professional, ethical and collaborative behaviours consistent with the responsibilities of the position.
    • Demonstrated abilities that align with the Douglas College Core Competency Framework.
