Expected Salary Range: $104,662.00 - $130,827.00 - $163,533.00
Our typical hiring range will be +/- 5% of the midpoint shown above

In our recently completed fiscal year, BCLC generated a record $1.6 billion in net income to the Province of B.C. to support First Nations, local host governments, health care, education and community programs across the province.
Job Summary:
The Manager, Content Marketing leads the strategy for marketing content planning and publishing across BCLC owned channels for lottery, casino, sports, corporate and iGaming, including our B2B business. This role works closely with Marketing functional teams and stakeholders across the business to ensure player-facing marketing content is executed seamlessly across all owned channels and tailored to player needs.

The Manager, Content Marketing leads the strategy for marketing content planning and publishing across BCLC owned channels for lottery, casino, sports, corporate and iGaming, including our B2B business. This role works closely with Marketing functional teams and stakeholders across the business to ensure player-facing marketing content is executed seamlessly across all owned channels and tailored to player needs.
Key Accountabilities:
- Leads the development of content marketing strategies and plans to engage customers through relevant and contextual multimedia content disseminated through BCLC owned channels and assets e.g. web properties, apps, digital signage and POS at retail.
- Collaborates with functional teams and stakeholders across the business including Communications, Social Media, Brand & Advertising, Player Experience and User Experience (UX) to identify, plan and lead the creation of content across all BCLC owned channels.
- Oversees content strategy performance and optimization, ensuring content is tailored to deliver the message to the right audience and the right time. Undertakes A/B testing to maximize impact of messages.
- Monitors effectiveness, establishing KPI's and reporting for areas of accountability.
- Oversees the content management system, delivering on content management requirements for the business, leading the implementation of enhancements where needed.
- In collaboration with Marketing Planning and other teams, oversees the implementation of content for systems including the Digital Signage Network in Lottery Retail & Casino Brick & Mortar locations.
- Leads the development of content marketing calendars ensuring the scheduling of content is aligned across the enterprise.
- Develops and manages operational budget, working closely with Marketing Planning to ensure accurate costing and forecasting.
- Stays up to date with industry trends & content innovations to drive team ideation and experimentation.
- Drafts Content Marketing Standards, Policies, Practices and Procedures, ensuring compliance and accountability for the content marketing team.
- Collaborates and fosters strong, productive, and positive relationships with key internal stakeholders, as well as external stakeholders.
- Provides strong people leadership to the Content Marketing Capability by championing BCLC's vision, mission and Values In Action; practicing meaningful recognition; communicating with staff regularly; developing, coaching and mentoring team; conducting performance management, and supporting culture and change management initiatives.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Content Marketing or a related discipline.
- 5 to 7 years of related experience, including recent experience building out content marketing capabilities;
- A minimum of 2 years experience in managing people;
- An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
- Strong knowledge of the principles, concepts, practices, techniques and tools in the areas of content & search marketing;
- Demonstrated experience in strategic business planning and resource management in a leadership capacity;
- Demonstrated experience developing and managing change with teams ensuring that sound change management and training principles are applied;
- Ability to work cross-functionally and build support within the marketing team and among other stakeholders across BCLC in order to deliver on business needs;
- Strong marketing business acumen with a results oriented focus;
- Exceptional time management and multi-tasking skills;
- Demonstrated ability to analyze business situations and develop solutions;
- Excellent interpersonal skills;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Excellent problem solving and analytical thinking/innovation;
- Strong computer skills - MS office suite;
- Experience in the gaming industry is an asset.
